Porcelain veneers from your Charlotte dentist

Do not let gaps; cracks, discolored or weak teeth stop you from having the smile of your dreams.  Cosmetic dentistry procedures such as porcelain veneers will have you showing off your smile all over Charlotte.  Gaps and cracks be-gone. Say good-bye to stains and discoloration and hello to pearly porcelain.

What are porcelain veneers

Teeth veneers, or dental veneers, are most commonly referred to as porcelain veneers because they are mostly composed of porcelain.  They can also made of resin or a combination of both porcelain and resin.  Resin veneers are thinner and do not require as

much enamel removal as porcelain veneers, but they do not last as long.  These tooth-colored shells can change the shape, color, size and length of your teeth to radiate your smile.  Dental veneers are thin laminated substances that bond to your teeth.   Not only can these laminations enhance the overall appearance of your smile, they can also improve the structure, strength and straightness of your teeth.

Once the porcelain veneers are attached, the procedure is irreversible and patients notice immediate alignment.  Dental veneers can also protect patients’ weaker teeth, providing a strong outer layer that is also stain resistant.  You will not have to worry about drinking tea, coffee or other beverages that stain your teeth.  Because porcelain veneers reflect light and add luster you can put the sparkle back in your smile.

Typical procedures for your dental veneers

Next, your teeth or tooth will be prepared for your porcelain veneer.  Your cosmetic dentist will remove some of your teeth enamel.  Before doing this, you may discuss options for local anesthesia.  Make sure your cosmetic dentist is a reliable and trusted sedation dentist as well, so you feel comfortable and relaxed with this procedure.  After the enamel is removed, a model of your tooth surface will be taken and sent off to be created in the dental lab. This cosmetic dentistry procedure takes several trips to your Charlotte dentist.  First, you will go over a diagnosis and treatment plan to discuss your individual concerns and what you wish to see in your smile.  Depending on your issues, the dentist may take x-rays and impressions to see if porcelain veneers are the right solution for you.

Finally, your Charlotte dentist will bond the dental veneer to your tooth or teeth and make any final adjustments before it is permanently bonded.  Then you will walk out with the sparkle in your smile.

Ballantyne Center for Dentistry is well respected and well known for their cosmetic dentistry in Charlotte NC.   Schedule your appointment today to discuss porcelain veneers and how they can help give you a smile makeover you have always wanted!

If you are unhappy with your smile, have you considered how dental veneers could improve your smile? Dental veneers are known to improve appearance—providing a healthy, natural looking smile.

Dental veneers give teeth a natural look and a healthy appearance
Many people really like dental veneers because of how natural they look. Most of the time, people will not realize that you even have dental veneers because they give patients such a natural look. Cosmetic dentists agree that this is one of the biggest advantages of dental veneers.

While dental veneers are great for most people, there are a few groups of people that will not benefit from dental veneers. People that grind their teeth or clench their teeth are probably not great candidates because both can cause cracking, which damages teeth veneers.

Are you embarrassed about discolored teeth? If you are unhappy with your smile, there are a few options to consider, including dental veneers made of porcelain. There are many patients in Charlotte NC that have benefitted from porcelain veneers. Increased self-confidence is just one of the many benefits dental veneers offer.

Porcelain veneers are a type of dental veneer that is resistant to staining, and extremely strong, which means they will look nicer and last longer than other aesthetic options. If other types of dental veneers do stain, an experienced cosmetic dentist can buff the stain out. Dental veneers can last anywhere between 5 and 20 years before they need to be replaced by your cosmetic dentist at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte NC.

You might say, wow, why is there such a big difference in how long some people can get out of their veneers.  Well, its like this, veneers are like anything else.  Take for instance cars.  Some people take very good care of their cars.  They keep them washed and waxed, take them in for service regularly, and don’t drive them too hard.  These cars tend to last longer.  Other people are less careful with their cars, neglect regular service intervals, and drive them like they stole them.  Ever heard that one?

Dental veneers are like that.  Be good to them and they will be good to you.  Be rough on them and they won’t last as long.

There are a variety of reasons patients choose dental veneers
Besides wanting to increase their self-confidence, there are several reasons patients decide to use dental veneers. As people age, teeth do often wear down. If a patient has been in an accident or had a fall they may have chipped or broken teeth—teeth veneers are great options for both of these situations. Additionally, porcelain veneers can even fix misaligned, irregular teeth. If you have gaps and are not happy with how your smile looks, be sure to discuss dental veneers with the cosmetic dentists at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte NC to see if dental veneers will be the best option for your situation.

What should you do before getting dental veneers?
If you are considering dental veneers, call your cosmetic dentist to discuss all of your options. But, remember that if you want to whiten your teeth, it is best to do it before you have your dental veneers put on. This will ensure that your dental veneers match your newly whitened teeth color. Additionally, some patients erroneously think that teeth will not decay with dental veneers. Unfortunately, that is not true. Teeth still will decay even after a patient has dental veneers—so be sure to take care of your teeth.

If you are unhappy with your smile call Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, Charlotte’s cosmetic dentists, today to discuss how you can have the smile you have always dreamed about with dental veneers!

Dental veneers are appropriate for many patients with a variety of issues in

Charlotte NC. The conditions of a patient’s teeth will determine if dental veneers will be successful. Thankfully, the trusted cosmetic dentists at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry can use dental veneers to fix many aesthetic problems patients have with their teeth, from stains to chipped or broken teeth.

Patients are often surprised that dental veneers can also be used to fix crooked and misaligned teeth. If someone has gaps between their teeth, teeth veneers can be used to fix that problem, as well. Also, if there are holes or fractures in a patients tooth, a smile makeover can help.

Not everyone is a candidate for dental veneers
While the majority of people in Charlotte NC seeking dental veneers will be great candidates, there are some people who may not be able to receive teeth veneers. If someone has unhealthy teeth, they will not be the best candidate for veneers. If a patient has either gum disease or decay, this can also hinder receiving dental veneers. Thankfully, cosmetic dentistry can treat these issues and then patients may be able to get porcelain veneers to fix those unsightly problems with their teeth.

Because porcelain veneers are adhered to the enamel on a patients tooth, teeth veneers will not be a good option of there is no enamel on the teeth. Do you grind your teeth? You may not be the best candidate for teeth veneers, then, because grinding can cause chipping and fractures in the dental veneers. The same is true for patients who clench their teeth.

There is good news with this as well. Many patients have had great luck ending both grinding and clenching, so talking to your cosmetic dentist at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry about ways to stop doing this can help you become a good candidate for dental veneers.

Veneers are a permanent solution
Because dental veneers are a permanent solution, the process is not reversible. The enamel on teeth must be removed to adhere the porcelain veneers. Even if you decide that dental veneers are not the right option for you, by talking to your cosmetic dentist in Charlotte NC you can come up with a solution that will give you the smile that you have always wanted.

When porcelain veneers are done correctly, they will bond tightly to your teeth. So, although they may be wafer thin, they are still strong. Many dentists in Charlotte NC advise patients to avoid drinking alcohol excessively after veneers because it can dissolve the bonding agent used to secure the veneers. If taken care of properly, porcelain veneers can last for many years to come.

For many people dental veneers are a great option, but they may not be for everyone. Make an appointment with Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, Charlotte's cosmetic dentists today to talk about your options with dental veneers so you can have the smile you have always wanted!

Today, porcelain dental veneers are made without metal framing. What that means is that they are now 100% porcelain and completely undetectable – and they are gorgeous. Now, when you receive teeth veneers from Ballantyne Dentistry in Charlotte NC, your friends will only noticed that you have perfectly beautiful teeth; if they did not know you before you had dental veneers, they will probably assume that you are blessed with good genetics.

What exactly are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a wafer thin shell of high-quality ceramic that your Charlotte NC cosmetic dentists will place around your teeth. This semi-translucent shell of porcelain is delicate by itself, but when it is permanently bonded to your teeth it becomes an extremely durable protective coating, which strengthens and beautifies your teeth.

In a way, it is almost like your teeth are an old and battered Rolex watch in need of a little bit of repair. Perhaps the crystal face is scratched, faded or discolored. Perhaps the bezel ring is dented and worn away. Buying a new crystal face and a new bezel ring can make your old and dingy Rolex watch look like new again. In this regard, porcelain veneers are similar because of the way they can transform and beautify your smile.

Also, modern teeth veneers have unique way of refracting the light that touches your teeth. Just like your natural tooth enamel, which is translucent and allows the light to pass through and reflect off the white inner part of your teeth, dental veneers are also translucent and allow the light to reflect off the same inner part of your teeth. What this means is that dental veneers are extraordinarily natural in appearance, and as undetectable as they are dazzling.

Dental veneers from highly trained cosmetic dentists are the way to go if you want to achieve smile makeover perfection. There are a lot of different ways to improve the look and shimmer of your smile, but dental veneers offer a lot of benefits that other options do not for Charlotte area residents.

What about braces?

Adult braces are one option available to people who are looking for a smile makeover. In fact, braces are an excellent way to straighten your teeth, improve alignment, and close unsightly gaps between your teeth. But braces do take time. While there are some excellent adult braces options available to patients through modern cosmetic dentistry, which can straighten the teeth you see when you smile in a quarter of the time, even the fastest of these options will usually take at least six months to complete. Some people simply do not want to experience inconvenience of wearing braces on their teeth for a lengthy period of time. If you are one of these people, then porcelain veneers from Ballantyne Center for Dentistry can be the answer to achieve your speedy smile makeover goals.

What about tooth bonding?

Another very affordable option available to cosmetic dentistry patients is tooth bonding. Tooth bonding employs the use of highly durable tooth colored resins, which can be bonded to your teeth, shaped and polished to correct chipped and broken teeth and also to fill in gaps between teeth. Tooth bonding procedures can be completed in one visit to the dentist, and they are a highly effective solution. However, tooth bonding resins can be more vulnerable to staining and they can wear away with time, so they are usually not considered to be as permanent and long-lasting as dental veneers. Nonetheless, tooth bonding is an extremely safe procedure, and it is one of the most common and effective tools a cosmetic dentist can use to perfect your smile. Therefore tooth bonding’s benefits cannot be discounted, and in some cases it is a better option than dental veneers.

Tell me about the miracle of modern porcelain veneers

Essentially, modern dental veneers are a translucent and wafer-like porcelain shell which cosmetic dentists use to encase your original teeth.  Furthermore, the best cosmetic dentistry offices use all-porcelain veneers, which are far superior to the dental veneers of the past – the ones that had metal framing and a tendency to create dark stains close to the gum line of your teeth. In fact, porcelain veneers of today do not cause this kind of staining.

Dental veneers will make your teeth luster with an uncommonly natural beauty while protecting them. Light passes through porcelain veneers and reflects off the whiteness of your teeth beneath which is exactly what happens with your natural tooth enamel.  Probably the only indicator that you have dental veneers will be how extraordinarily perfect they are. Also, although they are extremely thin, dental veneers from Ballantyne actually make your teeth stronger while providing a layer of protection against daily wear and tear.

In the past, porcelain crowns were constructed through the use of a metal framing system, which over time caused black lines to appear at the gum line.  You may have those lines yourself, or you may have seen a friend or relative who has them from the old style teeth veneers.  Fortunately, this is no longer an issue for recipients of modern dental veneers.  These days, cosmetic dentists in Charlotte NC use only high quality, all porcelain dental veneers, which do not cause dark discoloration at the gum line.

Dental patients seeking a smile makeover can rest easy knowing that their teeth are in good hands with modern gentle cosmetic dentistry.  Cosmetic dentistry experts can even replace your old style teeth veneers with new ones, thereby erasing years of stains that you may have thought would never go away.

"But I do not want to go through the stress and pain of getting teeth veneers"

Many Charlotte NC residents will not go to the dentist even for a cleaning, because they are simply too afraid to go.  Pile on top of that the fear of getting porcelain veneers and you may have someone who would never be willing to go through with the complicated procedure of getting dental veneers.  But at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte NC, patients need not be afraid.  That is because their cosmetic dentists practice conscious sedation dentistry and can show you how uncomplicated getting porcelain veneers really is!

A sedation dentist commonly offers a pill to reduce anxiety, when the procedure is teeth veneers or a lengthy procedure.  In some cases, patients may even take a pill at their home and have a friend or family member drive them to the dentist.  Interestingly, with conscious sedation, dentistry patients fall into a dream-like state and often remember very little or nothing of the procedure.  Time passes faster as well while you are under sedation, so it may seem that the procedure finishes only a few short moments after sitting down in the chair.  Although a sedation dentist is sometimes referred to as a sleep dentist, putting a patient to sleep is not the goal.  While sedation dentistry patients often become so relaxed they fall asleep, the idea is conscious sedation, which definitely speeds up post procedure recovery time. With your trusted and gentle cosmetic dentist, you know you are in the best of hands and that your sedation dentistry smile makeover like porcelain veneers is safely administered by doctors who are experts in their field.

Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joseph Hufanda of Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte NC are certified by the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and by the North Carolina State Dental Board.

Have you wished you could fix your crooked teeth, but worried about what people would think if you showed up at work with a mouthful of metal?  Did you spend your time and money on braces for your children, but thought adult braces were out of the question?   Why worry about wearing metal braces and feeling like an uncomfortable teenager? Cosmetic dentists at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte have tooth colored braces for you, and can give you a smile makeover in approximately six months.

What is Six Month Smiles?

This innovative procedure is called Six Month Smiles because the average treatment time takes just about six months. Six Months Smiles are adult, short-term braces that are comfortable, quick, and  barely noticeable.  This system uses a similar approach to regular braces, but more efficiently.  Unlike traditional metal braces, Six Month clear braces, made of special nickel titanium tooth colored wire and tooth colored brackets, gently straighten your teeth over a span of about six months.  No more tinsel teeth or metal mouth, because this proven and effective system will have you smiling with confidence all around Charlotte in no time!

How do Six Months Smiles straighten my teeth?

By focusing on your crooked teeth rather than on your bite, the Six Month Smiles procedure corrects crowding and spacing issues with only the teeth that are visible when you smile.  Because it is that simple, many people find they are perfect candidates for Six Month Smiles. Thousands have found it to be a great way to straighten their teeth quickly, and with confidence.

This cosmetic dentistry procedure uses less force than regular braces, because the special nickel titanium tooth-colored wires apply a gentle and steady pressure to efficiently move your crooked teeth, and with less pain, over a shorter period of time.  Traditional braces can take up to two and a half years, and can become quite painful with all the tightening of wires set to reposition your bite instead of your teeth.

Aftercare and maintenance

After your teeth have been successfully repositioned, you will need to wear a retainer in order to keep your smile straight, which is normal with any repositioning system.  Your doctor can give you options for a removable retainer, or a permanently non-visible retainer, to help keep your smile straight.

If your bite is not your problem and you would just like to fix your crooked teeth, then Six Month Smiles can be a perfect solution for you.  Give your smile the makeover it deserves and contact Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte today. Dr.  Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda will be happy to schedule a free smile consultation and discuss options for your new smile makeover.  It is time to say good-bye to crooked teeth, and say hello to a straight smile!

Not all of us were born with a set of pearly whites to make the neighbors cry with envy, but now with contemporary cosmetic dentistry procedures, virtually anyone can dazzle the entire neighborhood when they smile.  In fact, one of the best ways to get a smile makeover and completely transform your mouth is to get porcelain veneers.

But my friend got teeth veneers and you can see black lines!

You may have noticed that some recipients of porcelain veneers develop black discoloration high on the tooth where it meets the gum line.  Maybe you have this problem right now yourself and you just simply do not like the idea of porcelain veneers anymore.  Well, the truth is that in the past, teeth veneers were built around a metal frame.  Over time, this often shows a discoloring effect at the gum line.  But today, porcelain veneers are different and do not utilize metal frames.  This modern advancement means that discoloration does not happen anymore.  Even the people who have old dental veneers can have them replaced with new ones to remove the discoloration.  In fact, one Charlotte NC cosmetic dentistry office, the Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, utilizes all porcelain veneers and they can replace your old ones.

Only the best at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte NC

Porcelain veneers come in a variety of qualities.  Some are cheaper than others and often the more expensive ones offer superior attributes.  For that reason, it is always best to ask your cosmetic dentist if he or she uses the highest class veneers available.  Indeed, the dentists at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry are experts in field of cosmetic dentistry and for that reason they know that when it comes to your mouth it is better to provide the best services and products available rather than rely on something that could be an inferior product.  For that reason, they only use the highest quality dental veneers available.

What can a dental veneer smile makeover do for me?

Dental veneers are an excellent way to immediately correct broken, discolored, or crooked teeth.  They can also correct gaps in your teeth.  Also, because dental veneers are thin porcelain coverings that go over the top of your original teeth, they actually surround your teeth with a protective layer.  This not only strengthens your original teeth but it also gives them a dazzling luster.  Porcelain veneers have a certain level of translucence that allows light to pass through them.  The light is then reflected back off the inner white opacity of your underlying tooth.  This process mimics the way natural teeth reflect light through the translucency your enamel.  In this way, porcelain veneers are dazzlingly surreal because they look so beautiful and so natural at the same time.

Sedation dentistry for those who do not want to be afraid

Charlotte NC residents who get their teeth veneers from Ballantyne Center for Dentistry

can also benefit from getting the procedure done without stress and anxiety.  Ballantyne Center for Dentistry practices sedation dentistry, so their patients can get the beautiful teeth they desire without the stress or fear of pain that is normally involved with going to the dentist.  Indeed, a sedation dentist will simply give you a pill to take away the anxiety and worry relating to the experience.  In some cases, patients do not even remember anything from the procedure.

Dental veneers are thin laminated substances attached to your teeth.  The purpose of dental veneers is to give you a smile makeover by improving the shape, size, length or color of your teeth, all of which ultimately enhance the overall aesthetic appearance of your smile. In the last couple of decades, porcelain veneers have become a common dental procedure in Charlotte. A dental veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a damaged or imperfect tooth to protect it from further damage. The dental veneer is attached to the existing tooth structure using advanced dental cement and adhesives.  Due to the need to adhere the teeth veneer to the existing tooth, veneers can only be used in cases where the tooth root and structure remain strong.

Today, some general dentists in Charlotte offer dental veneers in addition to their regular services. However, only an experienced cosmetic dentist has the skills to make sure your veneers fit perfectly, are comfortable, and give you a perfect smile makeover!

Which type of teeth veneers is better and what are porcelain veneers?

Dental veneers can be made up of different material, including porcelain.  The most common teeth veneers are made of a composite material. When it comes to matching your teeth in appearance, these dental veneers can be matched to your color and exact size. They appear life-like and can last for decades with the right care.  Your Charlotte cosmetic dentist can customize the teeth veneers to fit your smile and is perfect for a smile makeover.

What is the procedure for getting dental veneers?

The first step is a consultation, where a cosmetic dentist will look at each case in detail. Dental x-rays will be required to make sure the teeth in question are strong enough to support the veneer. In some cases, only a single veneer may be needed to correct a crooked smile or fix a chipped tooth. For other patients, a skilled cosmetic dentist may use several porcelain veneers to completely restructure the smile. Dental veneers are a wonderful solution to worn down teeth, large gaps between teeth, or crooked teeth.

Once the decision is made, your Charlotte cosmetic dentist usually places temporary bonded resin veneers over the selected teeth. This allows the patient to get used to the feeling of their new smile while the porcelain veneers are fabricated. In a few weeks, another quick session will be needed to attach the final product.  There are also options of having your veneers created in the office, for one visit teeth veneers.

Many cosmetic dentists also offer sedation dentistry for this final procedure. A sedation dentist uses oral medication to induce a very relaxed state, during which the porcelain veneers are placed.  As a result, this becomes a completely stress-free and comfortable smile makeover procedure.

Once your new porcelain veneers are in place, you will have a brand new smile and shiny new confidence.  Porcelain veneers look and feel like the real thing and patients can use them just like real teeth. Of course, the skill of the cosmetic dentist has a lot to do with the final result! If you are interested in quality porcelain veneers, look for a reputable Charlotte cosmetic dental clinic that offers sedation dentistry. Ask for a free consultation, here at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, to explore your smile makeover options with the convenience of porcelain veneers.

After the consultation, your cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda will then send the impressions off to a special lab that will create the Six Month Smiles set of clear braces for you.  You will be pleasantly surprised to see that the Six Month Smiles adult braces are almost invisible.  It makes use of thin wires the color of teeth and very clear brackets.  I was very happy to see that my smile makeover to fix my teeth need not be that embarrassing.  No more of those metal braces, and no more bulky brackets to fix my crooked teeth.

But is it comfortable? Even though you fix my teeth in just six months?

Yes, it is very comfortable to wear actually.  It only exerts low force to set your teeth into the desired position.  As stated above, it functions much like metal braces in that it also makes use of standard methods in positioning your teeth into a good alignment, albeit gentler.  Plus, Six Month Smiles adult braces are also much lighter than the traditional metal braces, and it provides a much more comfortable fit.

Too many people have dental issues and choose to ignore them, rather than visiting a professional Charlotte cosmetic dentist. We will go through our life not smiling or laughing, and avoiding talking to people if we have to, simply because we are afraid to visit the dentist. Well, with the advances in cosmetic dentistry, today’s cosmetic dentist has many tools to use to make sure your dental procedure is as pain-free and anxiety-free as possible. Once you have made that smart decision, the next step is finding the right dentist.

Here are a few tips to help you in your search for a Charlotte cosmetic dentist:

·         Friends and family: If someone you know has had experience with a cosmetic dentist, it would make sense to ask them how pleased they were with whom they chose.

·         Look for dentists online at websites where the general public can ask questions about cosmetic dentistry to participating professionals. One such website is www.realself.com

·         Your PCP: Your family doctor might be able to suggest a cosmetic dentistry professional.

·         Accrediting organizations: The AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) offers a searchable database for member dentists.

·         Advertising, websites, commercials and directories: This is a competitive field, and a much higher percentage of cosmetic dentists advertise their expertise than do regular dentists and practitioners.

Facts and figures

Here are some interesting (and very true) facts, based on surveys and real data. Each one of these is more than enough reason to make an immediate appointment with Charlotte cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda. The only thing between you and a beautiful smile is you.

§  75% of those over the age of 21 say that a good smile is key to career success

§  People who are considered attractive earn at least 5% more, on average

§  71% of adults think a person having a nice smile can make friends much easier than someone who does not have a nice smile

§  Attractive individuals are seen as helpful and honest, whereas less attractive people are perceived to be unfair and rude

§  94% of individuals say the first thing they notice about a person is their smile, even before noticing their height, weight or eyes

§  87% of adults agree that having a nice smile directly correlates to having high self-esteem

You will notice the word “attractive” used quite often here. The concept of attraction does vary from person to person, but let’s face it; a person with a great smile is generally seen as being more attractive than someone who either does not have a great smile, or doesn’t smile at all. This is where cosmetic dentistry performed by qualified Charlotte cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda, can help.

In fact, further studies show that people having yellow, crooked or missing teeth have much less self-confidence, and are very reluctant to talk, laugh or smile. This often makes them seem angry, timid, hesitant or withdrawn. If this is you, then it’s time to do something about it. Pick up the phone and call your local Charlotte cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda at Ballantyne Center for Dentistry and make an appointment today.

Charlotte cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda of Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, have seen the results time and again. A patient comes to them begging, “Fix my teeth!  Fix my smile!”  Using the latest in technology and applying their considerable skills and talent to each case, your cosmetic dentists will now work their dental magic for a smile makeover. And voila!  Another new smile is born!

The best cosmetic dentists in Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte use a variety of techniques and procedures to customize treatment for each patient.  For patients who have significant damage to their teeth or who suffer from underdeveloped or badly discolored teeth that can’t be whitened, porcelain crowns offer the promise of a new and improved smile.  A porcelain crown is a cap or cover for the existing tooth.  Porcelain has a very natural tooth-like appearance so the crowns blend naturally with the other teeth.  A trusted Charlotte cosmetic dentist, either Dr. Yaste or Dr. Hufanda, can evaluate your teeth carefully and discuss the possibilities of dental crowns with you.

A new technology has arrived at your Charlotte cosmetic dental office.  CEREC, or Ceramic Reconstruction, allow specially trained cosmetic dentists to create crowns, veneers and filling replacements right in the office.  No longer does the patient need to schedule a series of appointments to allow for dental impressions to be shipped off to a lab.  In many cases, using CEREC technology, a qualified cosmetic dentist can create and permanently place a crown, veneer or tooth-colored filling in one visit.

Tooth-colored fillings are another option for fixing your teeth and your smile.  If old, metal fillings are loose, missing or just unsightly, your Charlotte cosmetic dentists, Dr. Yaste and Dr. Hufanda, can refill the tooth with filling that matches the tooth’s natural shade.  This procedure alone can restore a healthy appearance to your teeth.

Finally, porcelain veneers are becoming increasingly popular with patients visiting their cosmetic dentists.  Dental veneers are adhered to the front of the existing tooth.  The porcelain veneers are designed, shaped and fitted to produce the look of a healthy, well-formed natural tooth.  Porcelain veneers can also be used to cover gaps between teeth or to even out the smile when teeth are of different lengths or have been damaged or chipped.  For some patients, porcelain veneers can offer the appearance of a straight, healthy smile without the expense and time of braces.  An evaluation with your trusted and reputable Charlotte cosmetic dentists in Ballantyne Center for Dentistry is the place to start if you are want to enhance the appearance of your smile but are unsure if orthodontic treatments are really what you need.

Get ready to dazzle your colleagues, friends and family with a new smile.  Make an appointment to discuss the options for your smile makeover with the best cosmetic dentists, Dr. Christian Yaste and Dr. Joe Hufanda of Ballantyne Center for Dentistry in Charlotte.

Smile Makeover

Posted on May 11, 2010 by Dr. Yaste

Well, what do you think? This lovely lady from Charlotte, NC, had an obviously less than attractive smile. Patched up, and then patched up again, and again, and again. Her “patched up” dentistry was not done by bad dentists. In fact it takes some real skill to keep composite bonding or patching stuck together like that for any length of time. The real problem is that it looks bad, and was embarrassing to her. It was such a pleasure, and so much fun, to finally help her get her teeth fixed with six cosmetic porcelain dental veneers and professional teeth whitening. Look at how much prettier she looks after her teeth were finally fixed. A beautiful lady that now has a beautiful smile!
